Is racism really still an issue in America?  It seems so obviously so by just watching the comments of both private citizens and elected politicians as they are commenting on things as common and benign as the President making a speech to and about school children and the importance of education.  What we are being reminded of through these public statements is that this president is black and in a very subtle, despicable way.

Statements about his patriotism, his authenticity of birth, his political intentions are all subtle ways of inflecting something there, something amiss or just not right.  What is it about him that is different, hmmm?  Oh I have it now, he is black!  That is what it is, he is a black man that has been perhaps influenced by Islamic religion, he lived overseas as a child, he... well he is a black and everyone knows, good God to beware of the black man!

The Governor of Texas, Rick Perry has said about the upcoming Presidential speech to school kids that he disagreed with some conservative groups and individuals that want to keep their children out of school.  But he inferred that somehow the White House (the President) was to blame for not letting parents and school officials know what he was planning on saying to these children.  The inference is clear here and the Governor is complicit in his support of that inference.  It is a despicable way for supposedly educated elected officials to get what they want.  Of course racism has not intellectual or any other boundaries, but it is despicable non the less.

You hear people making overt statements about President Obama's socialist agenda, his desire to indoctrinate our children and the like from people like Glen Beck.  These statements are obvious to anyone that can honestly decern the truthful facts from fanaticism.  Unfortunately people like Glen Beck are given soap boxes to spew their irrational hate speech from (thank you tv journalism) but statements from elected government officials like Governor Perry and Senator Inhofe display an irreverence for democracy and the face of the new racism in America.

Not so long ago we could easily see the face of racism by the white sheets and hooded costumes.  Now we find the same racism but cloaked in the civility of free speech and social politeness.

Sen. Inhofe's statement yesterday shows just how sick certain parts of the country are! I'm sure there are idioctic rasists all over the country but this is just one of the most vile things I've heard in a long time. By his statement yesterday I can only conclude that James Inhofe is a raging racist!

I'm disgusted at the way these nut case, out and out racists [are] making hey out of the President's education speech to students. The way these people talk about the President of the United States, our President is just the same as a bunch of klan's men would. You make make the inference.

Jim Greer said he was "absolutely appalled that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama's socialist ideology." Michelle Malkin and Glenn Beck have been in the forefront of this demogogary. All of these people and those that listen to and believe what the spew are idiots and are harmful to America.

Well the overview of the 'Tea Party' can best be described as the racism party. Mr. Tancredo can be called a lot of things among which one would be a racist. This has been born out in his recent speech at the Tea Party convention. (by the way check out his speaking out for the war in Vietnam and then gets a deferment from serving)
